Shipboard Instrumentation & Systems Calibration Test Technician

 The Defense and Maritime Solutions Business Unit currently has an opening for a SISCAL Test Technician III. (SISCAL: Shipboard Instrumentation and Systems Calibration). JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the set up, calibration, testing, and trouble shooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies and circuits on U.S. Navy ships. Work is performed in an industrial environment and applicants must recognize failures, and correct problems and determine the need for appropriate verification. Prepares written reports and makes recommendations for procedural changes. Works on assignments that are complex in nature. Interacts daily with supervisor, peer groups, and USN active duty personnel. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information. REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: 2 years Navy Regional Maintenance Center Level II SISCAL team member experience required (documented SGCP and SISCAL certifications mandatory). Big deck Calibration shop/AIMD experience (depending on work performed) may meet qualifications. Preferred USN ratings: GSE or GSM. US Citizen. High school diploma or equivalent.
