Social Worker (Spanish Speaking)

SOCIAL WORKER  (SPANISH SPEAKING)

Westchester County is recruiting Social Workers proficient in both Spanish and English to work with families and/or children evaluating the need for type, level and range of casework services.

 

Requirements:

  Must possess a Bachelor’s degree and two years professional casework experience gained after attaining the minimum education level.  May substitute Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) for portion of required experience.

  Incumbent must be able to communicate orally and in writing in both the English and Spanish languages.

  This position involves field work and overtime.

  Valid driver’s license.

Note:  This is a civil service position.  In the event that someone is hired it is required that they take the Civil Service Examination as soon as it becomes available.  The next examination date is June 14, 2008, and the last day to file an application for the Civil Service Examination is May 12, 2008.
