Software Engineer

Provides Software development services for a web based multi-server production system with a focus on graphical user interface.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

o Provide software engineering services for Internet based Common Operating Picture Web Services System.
o Develop state of the art graphical user interfaces using the .NET framework (ASP, ASP.NET, C#).
o Develop state of the art graphical user interfaces with GIS overlays and graphics integration.
o Develop icons, visual indicators, site navigation elements, and other graphics as required.
o Update and enhance existing interfaces to provide greater usability and efficiency of supported applications.
o Provide user interface subject matter expertise and engineering support to functional development personnel.
o Update and maintain documentation for software and database installation and testing.
o Track all system related trouble calls and resolutions using provided helpdesk tracking system.
o Assist with system testing and evaluation on all software, hardware and database related changes.
o Performs other duties as assigned.

o Requires 3 to 5 years software development.
o Requires 1 to 3 years software development in .NET framework (ASP, ASP.NET, C#).
o Experience with ESRI GIS products preferred.
o Experience with Adobe development products preferred (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.).
