7,500.00 - 11,000.00 USD /month Status:   Full Time, Employee Job Category:   Project/Program Management Relevant Work Experience:   More than 15 Years Company:   Battelle Memorial Institute Reference Code:   BT15095 Sr Operations Officer/Project Manager The Operations Service Group (OSG) is seeking a Senior Operations Officer and Project Manager with operations and exercise experience to work in its Crystal City, VA office for full-time, regular shift work. Some domestic travel is anticipated. Salary will be determined based on education and experience. A full benefits package will be provided. Relocation support is available. The successful candidate must have a current Top Secret security clearance. Selected applicant will be responsible for the technical lead and project management of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) protection projects throughout the United States. These projects will include the protection of buildings from Chemical and Biological (CB) terrorism in support of Homeland Defense. Responsibilities will include the conduct of assessment surveys and development of concept of operations (CONOPS) in support of these surveys. Additional responsibilities will include the development of training and exercise plans in support of CBRNE defense projects. The position will require excellent written and verbal skills. The applicant will be required to present project results and the analysis of these results in clear and concise written and verbal reports to selected government and commercial audiences. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - BS or MS in Life Sciences, Engineering or related field. - 15+ years experience in CBRNE protection assessment, design, analysis and testing. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - 15+ years operational experience with the Department of Defense. - 15+ years of experience in training and exercise development. - Detail oriented with the ability to work under deadlines. - Team oriented and possesses the ability to work closely with other team members. - Top Secret Security Clearance, individual must meet eligibility requirement for access to classified information. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS - MS or PhD in Life Sciences, Engineering or related field. - Some experience with the Department of Homeland Security or FEMA. - Experience with chemical and biological infrastructure protection projects. CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Provide technical leadership on all aspects of Homeland Defense, with emphasis on CBRNE related to these projects. - Maintain both formal and informal communications with sponsors including responsibilities for reports and presentations. - Able to provide technical leadership to CBRNE protection related research group(s).
