We have an immediate opening for an] Sr. Soft Ntwk Eng/Network Management Systems Engineer in DC.  Job DescriptionLAN / MAN / WAN Network Engineer Provide subject matter expertise for diverse engineering projects related to LAN/MAN/WAN technologies. Strong understanding of routing protocols, OSPF, BGP. Develop enterprise networking solutions for the enterprise. Provide system life cycle engineering expertise through deployment, and tier 4 support for operational networking systems. Support Operations, through an escalation process, in the identification and resolution of network issues. Develop networking services and system solutions. Provide engineering testing and analysis for existing, and emerging technologies. Work with the business offices to gather engineering requirements. Enforce enterprise architectural design policy. Develop SLA/SLO strategy and policy, create and maintain relevant documentation. Lead efforts in designing multi-protocol networks using routers and large bridged networks. Design, implementation and Level 4 Engineering support of networking hardware and software for network resources (routers, switches, firewalls, probes, etc.), upkeep and standardization of network configurations. Provide system and subsystem design review and analysis to improve network performance. MAN technologies including TLS, SONET, and EPL. Wireless, satellite, WIMAX, VoIP, Video integration engineering. Providing Application Performance Profiling and Analysis. Three to five years of experience in the support of multi vendor networking environment.Required SkillsThis position requires a Bachelors degree and 8 years of related experience.Required ExperienceSr. Software Network Engineer: Minimum five years of experience in the support of multi vendor network enterprise enviroment.
