Specific tasks will include:  troubleshooting network issues, optimizing server settings, enhancing security, ensuring regulatory compliance and assisting with the training of technical personnel at the Air Force installations. Approximately 25% travel required to Air Force base locations. Candidate must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance.  Education: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience: 5 plus   Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE 2000 or 2003 w/Exchange) *Required* CompTIA Security+  *Required* Computer Related Bachelors Degree *Preferred* Ability to analyze, configure and maintain a Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Structure  Familiarity with disaster recovery techniques  Experience withinstalling, maintaining and administering  Windows Server Services to include:  DNS, DHCP, WINS  and SMS Experience with large Messaging environments to include Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003, 2007 and Anti-virus mail gateways.  Working knowledge of Storage Area Networks (SANS).   Perform network troubleshooting and diagnostics on systems Familiarity withMicrosoft Active Directory Administrative utilities,Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer and Microsoft Support Tools Solid working knowledge of TCP/IP networking  Good verbal and written communication skills   Additional Skills: Experience in DoD Network Control Centers or Network Operations and Security Centersis a plus VB or other scripting language Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
