Systems Analyst - Oracle 10g experience MUST

Looking for a Sr. Systems Analyst. Person MUST have Oracle 10g and any knowledge or prior experience with Cognos is a PLUS.  They will help standardize and also help with design and make sure all the funcionalities are looking in good shape and recommend improvement if needed before it goes for production. The person will also act as a bridge between the Cognos/Oralce Programmer and the Project Manager.

 

Duties and Responsiblities:

Provides technical and administrative direction for personnel performing software development tasks

Reviews work products for correctness, adherence to the design concepts and to user standards

Reviews progress in accordance with schedules

Coordinates with the Program Manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction

Make recommendations, if needed, for approval of major systems installations

Prepares milestone status reports and deliveries/presentations on the system concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives.

Provides daily supervision and direction to support staff working in the following environment:

Oracle 10g DBMS;Oracle Forms 6i;Windows 2003, XP; Cognos, Impromptu; TOAD; PL/SQL

  Specialized Experience:

Experience of Oracle 10g environment and documented experience in performance tuning existing applications, including use and integration of best practices to increase processing time.  Candidate should also have experience migrating to next generation Oracle platforms.
