Test Engineer

Amtec is currently recruiting for a Test EngineerThis is a 6-12 months contract to perm opportunity.Primary duties include: · Support development of test requirements and test architectures for a formal test and verification program including mechanical components, electronics, and embedded software · Development of formal, detailed test plans and procedures · Support design, procurement and setup of test equipment · Conduct test and verification activities, resolve test equipment issues · Coordination and oversight of subcontractors (when testing is performed off-site) · Develop high quality test reports with minimal oversight · Support other engineering design activities as required · Support other programs and technology development initiativesRequired Qualifications: · An active security clearance is required · Minimum of four (4) years of applicable professional technical experience, preferably supporting U.S. Government contracts · Must have demonstrated ability for testing electro-mechanical systems including test procedure development, test equipment development and test execution · Electromechanical design experience desired, including one or more of mechanical component design, detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, or embedded software/firmware development · Must be self starter with multidisciplinary engineering knowledge and demonstrated problem solving skills · Must have ability to communicate effectively with customers and subcontractors. Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical engineering or equivalent required, Masters Degree in engineering a plus.
