Transportation Planner/Grant Administrator

 

The Transportation Planner/Grant Administrator oversees all professional level transportation planning and grant management functions. This position will research and analyze complex transportation issues and projects as they relate to transit service planning, land use, project development and regional planning. This position is critical in the acquisition of funds through grant research, writing of applications and management of the awarded fund. This is a pivotal position, ensuring the City’s transit service sustainability and growth.

 

Responsibilities:Facilitate timely and accurate preparation and submission of high quality grant applications and proposals.Identify and pursue funding opportunities.Manage grant award terms, conditions and deliverables, and resolve funding partner issues while meeting federal, state, and funding partners audit and grant reporting requirementsCreate detailed monthly reports on grant activity, including administration of  status reports and project milestonesConduct and assess various corridor studies, use plans, and transportation project development, including the Comprehensive Transportation Plan and the Regional Transportation Plan.

 

Requirements:A minimum of five years experience in transportation planning, grant writing and grant administrationFour year degree, preferably with major course work in urban planning, transportation planning, or related field
