SUMMARY OF THE JOB: Responsible for the management of all materials including: shipping, receiving, stocking, kitting, material handling, traffic, and cycle counting. Achieve key performance objectives for inventory management including accuracy, shipping escapes, turns, and DOH. Lead a team of personnel to support the business while operating to a budget. Support overall business metrics around quality, cost, and delivery. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Provides leadership to assigned warehouse, material handling, and logistics team 2.Maintains accurate inventory levels 3.Ensures proper storage of materials, including proper security controls 4.Determines and ensures proper inventory levels at manufacturing lines 5.Provides material pulls in accordance with program schedules 6.Ensures proper handling of materials, including shipping, handling, and storage 7.Process inventory in a safe and efficient manner 8.Actively participates in inventory and cost reductions 9.Performs routine cycle counts to ensure processes are controlled 10.Supports resolution of purchase order/invoice discrepancies 11.Develops and maintains Inventory Control documentation/processes as needed 12.Ensures inventory management procedures are established and followed 13.Supports the month-end reconciliation process for financial reporting 14.Works with Purchasing to establish supplier rating system for on time delivery 15.Optimize warehouse utilization, minimize costs, and ensure inventory turnover 16.Utilizes current inventory management techniques including bar coding, etc. 17.Supports implementation of a Material Requirements Planning System 18.Supports implementation of a Just in Time Inventory Control System 19.Generates and maintain department budgets 20.Manages transportation costs 21.Leads annual physical inventory 22.Responsible for conducting performance reviews, interviewing and selecting qualified candidates 23.Ensure compliance with federal and state laws 24.Perform all duties in a safe manner 25.Perform other duties as assigned MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred – Business or Logistics Five (5) to ten (10) years of warehouse/logistics operations experience required. Previous experience with MRP and Just in Time techniques a plus BASIC SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: 1.Knowledgeable of warehouse systems 2.Six Sigma and APICS certification desired 3.Excellent communication skills 4.Working knowledge of manufacturing and procurement systems 5.Strong organizational skills 6.Solid interpersonal skills with experience in customer/supplier relations 7.Demonstrated ability to lead and work well with others 8.Strong leadership, communication (verbal and written), decision making and employee relations skills 9.Experience with ISO 9001 or QS 9100 Quality Operating Systems 10.Able to handle multiple assignments under extreme time constraints and high stress conditions 11.Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently 12.Must have strong work ethic, sense of urgency and a high energy level 13.Self-starter: bias for action, results oriented 14.Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications, required 15.Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends to meet business needs 16.Ability to work with a diversified work force 17.Offers of employment may be contingent upon passing a substance abuse screening test and/ or criminal background check Must be a US Person, that is, must meet one of the following requirements: (1) US Citizenship (born in the US) (2) Permanent Resident --Green Card Holder --Immigrant Visa --Resident Alien Card (3) Intending Citizen --Person lawfully admitted for permanent residence --Person admitted as a refugee --Person granted asylum (4) Dual Passport Holder/Dual Citizenship (with US Citizenship) People are the greatest asset in any Company ...
