Web Application/Database Developer

SAIC's Energy Solutions Operation is experiencing fast, dynamic growth and seeks a highly motivated, customer-oriented Web Application Developer to join the team. The selected candidate will support an exciting government project that will soon be located in the Vienna, Virginia (Tysons Corner area). This is a strategically important position that will have a large impact on an already successful organization. Primary responsibilities include web application and database programming for our client's web sites and other applications. The ideal candidate for this position will be an energetic, experienced web application and database programmer with a background in development within a MS SharePoint 2007 environment. As a member of a small development team, the selected candidate shall participate in all aspects of software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, programming, deployment, and support. Work will be performed in a Special Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). Selected candidate must be eligible to receive a Department of Energy Q top secret clearance. Education: A minimum Bachelor of Science degree. Required Skills: The applicant must have a minimum of 6 years experience in web application design and development. Candidate must have experience in the following areas: Object oriented programming with C# and Visual Basic .NET, SQL, and ASP.NET. Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated customer relations skills are required--the applicant must be able to communicate effectively with developers, technical specialists, and non-technical staff members. Desired Skills: Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable: Desktop and web application development, (X)HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, graphics design, SharePoint, virtualization (VMWare preferred), source code control (Team Foundation Server preferred), automated testing, and application packaging using Wise Package Studio. Experience with Windows 2000/2003 server administration is a plus. Desired: Active DOE Q clearance or Top Secret/Special Compartmentalized (TS/SCI)clearance.
