WebSphere Application Server Engineer

SAIC's Homeland Security Solutions Division currently has an opening for a Websphere Application Server Engineer. JOB DESCRIPTION: Scope: The candidate will be primarily responsible for WebSphere Application Server Administration. The candidate should be able to build, deploy, administer, troubleshoot, fix issues and provide day to day support to the WebSphere Application Server environments. This is a broad position that entails all aspects of setting up, configuring, and maintaining large-scale environments. Primary Skill: • Performing installation, configuration, administration and application deployments in clustered WebSphere Application Server 6.0/6.1, preferably on RedHat Linux platforms Required: Bachelor's degree in related technical discipline or equivalent experience and 5 + years of experience administering Websphere Application Server Environments. The individual should possess strong skills in the WebSphere product suite. Hands-on experience must include WebSphere Application Server, preferably in a Network Deployment configuration. ***Candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance**** Desired: Active DHS clearance strongly preferred. Desired skills includes WebSphere MQ, Process Server/ESB and DataPower. • Experience developing J2EE applications and operating enterprise applications within a Java environment • Install and set up MQ 6.1 environment including creating and clustering Queue Managers, Queues, and MQ Channels, preferably on a Red Hat Linux platform • Install and test MQ version upgrades and applicable patches • Write scripts to automate the setup, configuration and operational tasks • The ideal candidate should have 3 years of experience in working with MQ environments.   Company: SAIC Location: Washington, DC 20005 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: IT/Software Development Relevant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Company: SAIC
