Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner

WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIMS EXAMINER. Public entity self-insurance pool in Cherry Creek area seeks a self-motivated workers’ compensation claims examiner. Minimum of 5 years experience in adjusting workers’ compensation claims required, including: conducting investigations; identifying subrogation and eligibility for SSDI, pension, unemployment, and other offsets; authorizing or denying medical treatment; communicating with medical providers; working with defense counsel on litigated claims; evaluating and negotiating settlements; attending hearings; and reporting claims to excess insurers. Knowledge of Colorado WC Act, Rules of Procedure, and fee scheduling required. Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
