Youth Stewards

Environmental Internship

Staten Island Greenbelt seeks Youth Stewards for a leadership & youth development program that focuses on environmental conservation & natural area management. Participate in a variety of projects inc. forest restoration, vegetative assessment, mapping & trail maintenance. Candidates must be college-bound or college-enrolled in a relevant field of study (i.e. ecology, forestry, biology). Program runs for approx. 8 weeks/35 hours per week form June/August 2008. Salary $10/ hr. Candidates must be willing & able to perform physical labor in diverse environmental conditions.
