ACTUARY

Make a significant contribution to the financial stability of our Health Plan as you analyze and develop various statistical/actuarial models. Leveraging expert knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, finance and business, you will be involved in: Developing statistical/actuarial modelsCollecting/analyzing data to monitor the adequacy/competitiveness of existing plan rates/rating methodologiesAnalyzing and summarizing statistical data for use in new markets/new plan designsDeveloping and pricing new health insurance productsPerforming trend analysis and financial forecasting, including IBNR analysisAnalyzing financial resultsCollaboratively developing/implementing processes used in the actuarial department Leading/directing projectsTo qualify, you will need a bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, actuarial science or related field, healthcare industry background, and 3+ years of relevant actuarial/statistical experience. Candidates must have technical competency with spreadsheet and database software (Excel & Access). Solid analytical, communication, mathematical, problem-solving and multitasking skills will be expected. ASA or near-ASA would be preferred.
