ADMIN COORD DEPT MED Department of Medicine Residency and Administrative CoordinatorThe key administrative position under the leadership of the Internal Medicine (IM) Residency Director and the Director of Medicine, this individual interacts with the IM residents and faculty and supervises support staff. Responsibilities include ensuring that accreditation standards are always met, supervision of program support services, communications with residents and faculty, and completion of administrative and accreditation documents. The position includes a lead role in resident recruitment, licensing and immigration issues. The MCMC IM residency has 62 residents and is fully accredited by the ACGME and AOA. It has received national recognition for educational innovationAn applicant for this position should possess strong organizational skills, a sound knowledge base of accreditation and regulatory guidelines, coupled with an understanding of the key issues impacting practicing and resident physicians.
