ANALYST - DECISION SUPPORT

Saint Barnabas Health Care System, the largest healthcare network and second largest private employer in New Jersey, is seeking an ANALYST to join its DECISION SUPPORT team. RESPONSIBILITIES • Provides clinical and financial analyses to assist in business decisions, as requested by all levels of management throughout the Health Care System • Utilizes Trendstar, Horizon Performance Manager, Horizon Business Insight and other available systems to gather data and present in an analytical manner • Assists with the maintenance, weekly update and audit of the Decision Support system • Communicates effectively with users to ensure an accurate understanding of the information being requested • Presents analyses in the best, most accurate manner to maximize the utilization of data • Trains users on analytical tools available within Decision Support • Works in conjunction with other Decision Support Team members to produce reports that are required on a frequent basis and is responsible for the accuracy of the reports EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting required. A Masters degree a plus. A minimum of Four (4) years training in Finance within the Healthcare Industry with at least two (2) years experience with a Decision Support System preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS: • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to work on a team is critical. • Ability to learn new technology and apply it to solve business problems • Ability to run all modules of a Decision Support System • Thorough Knowledge of Excel, Access a plus • Experience implementing automated systems, preferably in health care environment • Must have technological proficiency in the use of Office Automation, Internet and e-mail As New Jersey's largest integrated health care delivery system, we strive to exceed the expectations of our patients and our employees.
