The Optimum Health Institute (OHI) is a Mission of the Free Sacred Trinity Church (FSTC),

a non-denominational Church that has been operating healing ministries since 1976.

At OHI's San Diego and Austin holistic health centers, people of all traditions are

welcome to participate in our program that promotes spiritual and physical healing by

teaching ancient spiritual disciplines to align the mind, body and spirit.

As the Assistant Guest Services Manager, you will play a vital role in helping to create a

healing, peaceful and serene Mission environment for our guests and adherents. You must be

a compassionate problem-solver, have a service-oriented attitude and the ability to maintain a

high level of confidentiality. The successful candidate will be accommodating, organized, and

able to manage a team responsible for the Front Desk and OHI Store. You will assist the Guest

Services Manager in all departmental activities including reservations, revenue tracking and

reporting, purchasing and audits.

 

Supervisory Duties:

You will supervise the Guest Services Associates during their shifts, ensure that they are properly

trained and are able to provide the highest level of customer service to guests, adherents and

inquirers. You will oversee the shipping and receiving operations, the purchasing of merchandise

and supplies and inventory control.

 

Front Desk Duties:

Provide accurate program information to guests, answer main reservation phone lines, review and

respond to inquiry emails, provide concierge services to guests for local information, accept and

confirm guest reservations and input into the computer, collect and post guest tuition payments,

maintain accurate records of room availability and guests' accounts, perform night audit and day-end

close procedures, process guest refunds, prepare weekly planners and program learning material

for incoming guests, mail brochures/confirmation letters.

 

Store Duties:

Supervise Store operations and create reports for management. Provide accurate store product

knowledge to guests, assist guests with store purchases, conduct phone/catalogue sales, collect

and process payment for store purchases, reconcile daily sales receipts, stock and maintain clean

store appearance, process shipping and receiving of product inventory, maintain orderly product

warehouse/storage work area.

 

We Require:

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE: MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FULL TIME INCLUDING WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS

Associate's degree or equivalent from 2 year College or Technical School or 2 years minimum

related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Minimum of 5 years experience in hospitality, ministry, retail or healthcare industries; 2 years

supervisory experience.

Minimum 4 years of extensive customer service experience relating to educating clients in product

support and/or product knowledge. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook required.
