Accountant

Description

Purpose: Assists the Finance department in obtaining monthly close due dates, analyzing accounts, statutory filings, and improves the supporting standard within own structure (i.e.Financial Reporting Department).

Responsibilities:
Prepares Assets, Liability and Capital Account Entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Documents Financial Transactions by entering account information. Substantiates Financial Transactions by auditing documents. Reconciles Financial Discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Answer Accounting Procedure Questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations. Prepares Special Financial Reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

Proficient in Office 2000 (Excel, Word) Working knowledge of MAS 200 (Financial Reporting Package) Experience in Health Care desirable.

Education:
Minimum 2 years experience. Bachelor's Degree Accounting or Finance
