Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Professional attitude, proficient in MS Word, Excel and great attention to detail will be keys to success in this growing organization.
Summary Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, coordinates all patient and insurance billings, and relieves adminstrators of clerical work and minor administrative and business detail by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
Answers telephone, schedules appointments, and greets and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors.
Organizes and maintains file system, and files correspondence and other records.
Confirms patients' insurance eligibility with insurance companies.
Uses computerized billing system to completes insurance claim forms, submits claims to insurance companies.
Maintains patient billing files and bills for overdue payments.
Processes insurance payments to patient accounts in computerized system.
Contacts patients regarding outstanding balances.
Establishes payment plans to help patients manage payment of bills.
Creates and mails insurance claims and patient statements.
Rebills insurance companies or other third parties to secure payment for patients.
Verifies all ledger entries and makes corrections if necessary.
Responds to patient billing and statement inquiries.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
