JOB SUMMARY
Performs entry level exempt, administrative work requiring the exercise of discretion and judgment. May supervise clerical and support staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Performs a variety of administrative duties, which typically include several of the following: Plans, organizes, and coordinates administrative duties. May assist in personnel management functions such as recruitment, interviewing, and hiring for the organizational unit. Participates in department budget planning and development; coordinates procurement of equipment and supplies. Conducts special projects and prepares administrative reports. Interprets rules, regulations, and policies and implements as applicable. May assist manager or head of the organizational unit in establishing and attaining goals and objectives. Researches and resolves problems and issues in SAP. Maintains data and forms; oversees the filing of correspondence and other records. Reads and routes incoming mail. Greets visitors and directs them to the appropriate staff. Performs other job related duties as assigned. Skills:Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Supervision:Not normally required to supervise others. Customer Service:Maintains clear communication with customer regarding mutual expectations. Takes personal responsibility and accountability for correcting customer service problems.Working Conditions:Generally, work is done in an office environment with pleasant working conditions. There is good lighting, it is reasonably quiet, and the hours are reasonably regular. Physical Requirements:Rarely required to exert physical effort.Physical Risk:Does not handle/work with biohazards or risks for potential job-related injuries.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:Required: High school diploma or G.E.D. with additional technical training beyond high school preferred. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience:Required: Two years directly related administrative experience. Certification/Licenses/
