Camino Medical Group (CMG) is one of Northern California’s largest physician governed, multi-specialty medical groups. CMG is an affiliate of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, which is part of the Sutter Health family of not-for-profit hospitals and physician organizations that share resources and expertise to advance health care quality.The Administrative Director of the PAMF - Camino Divison Cancer Care Program of Excellence provides overall direction and management, operational planning, administrative coordination and implementation of programs and activities related to the Cancer Care Program at PAMF.  Works as a team with the Clinical Director and the Medical Director of the Cancer Program.  Facilitates the strategic planning and ongoing growth and development of the Cancer Program.  Coordinates the operations of the Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology services as well as integration of Surgical Oncology into the Cancer Program.  The incumbent is accountable for the following: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.  Provide strategic planning and direction for the development and enhancement of the PAMF Cancer Program.  Coordinates the development and implementation of goals, objectives, and long-  range plans.2. Work closely with Clinical Director and Medical Directors in strategic planning, program development and service promotion.3. Coordinate the development of annual goals and objectives.4.  Prepare and update the annual budget in concert with the long-range financial and strategic plans.5.  Monitor program’s financial performance and reporting requirements and ensures compliance with standards and regulations.6.  Perform financial analysis and projections.7.  Develop Key Indicator report on practice performance.8.  Institute changes as indicated to improve service, reduce costs, or enhance quality to promote cost effective operations to assure practice profitability.9.  Evaluate and maintain a cost effective purchasing and inventory system for pharmaceutical supplies and monitor the AIR. Review and analyze monthly charge 10.  Prepare and oversee budget and contractual issues for the Cancer Research Program in conjunction with the PAMF Research Institute.11.  Implement, monitor and maintain systems and procedures designed to ensure that safe, efficient and optimum levels of quality patient care.12.  Coordinate program development, marketing and promotion of services to patients and third party payers.13.  Provide direction and evaluation of community relations and promotional activity to ensure growth and positive community image.14.  Work with PAMF Philanthropy Development Department to increase philanthropic support for the Cancer Program.15.  Prepare grant requests for support of non-reimbursable, complementary services e.g. Nurse Navigator, patient and caregiver classes, survivorship programs and “Exercise for Energy”  program. Minimum of five (5) years experience in management of a sizeable Cancer Care program. A professional clinical background and a Masters in Health Services Administration or equivalent.
