Administrator - Assisted Living Facility
Regency Pacific’s Sun Terrace Assisted Living facility located in beautiful Hermiston, Oregon is in need of a qualified, experienced, and motivated Administrator. Sun Terrace is an 80-bed facility with a highly trained and caring staff. Reports to: Regional Vice President of Operations & Chief Operations Officer FLSA Status: Exempt (Salary) Objective: The Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer for Regency Pacific, Inc. at the location level. Overview: The Administrator will oversee/supervise the various employed personnel (professional, technical, and clerical staff), volunteers and facility departments by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Essential Elements of Job (Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following): Prompt and continued diligence in coming to work. Supervise, oversee and monitor departments and programs; ensure efficient organization and management systems are in operation. Develop, plan and implement goals and objectives consistent with the overall polices and procedures of the company. Assure that all regulations, corporate and facility policies and procedures are followed. Confer with resident and other individuals, groups and outside agencies having interest or potential interest in the affairs of the community; explain policies and programs to the public as necessary. Oversee and direct the development and administration of the annual budget; forecast when additional funds may be needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitor and approve expenditures; implement mid-year adjustments. Prepare and present reports to as requested. Represent the facility in community and professional meetings. Select, train, motivate and evaluate personnel; establish and monitor employee performance objectives, prepare and present employee performance reviews provide or coordinate staff training; work with the employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination procedures. Obtain bids contracts for projects, services, programs consistent with the needs of the facility; oversee performance of contractors. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience: Hold an Associates Degree in Health, Personal Care, or Business Administration, such as: Social Work, Nutrition, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Management or: Hold an advanced degree in field specified above or accreditation Health or Personal Care Organization, such as the American Association of Homes for the Aging or Have a High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of caring for residents. MUST currently have an Administrators license issued by the State of Oregon. Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise approximately 30 employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of departmental managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employee; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; regarding and discipline employee; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must react calmly but efficiently to emergencies. Must be available to work extended hours, weekends and holidays when necessary to provide supervision and/or services in unusual or emergency situations. Must be available in person, telephone or electronic pager at all times. Must comply with criminal background check, all facility policies, procedures and Personnel Policy Manual. Current CPR Certification, negative TB test, HIV/AIDS awareness education and blood borne pathogen training. This position is currently available at our Sun Terrace Hermiston facility in Hermiston, Oregon.Salary is dependent on experience and educational background.
