Admissions Nurse in Southeast Michigan

Our caregiver teams provide compassionate care for terminally ill patients and their families during one of the most difficult times in their lives.· The Admissions Nurse is a registered nurse whse primary responsibility is to support the development of appropriate referrals by creating and sustaining business relationships with referral sources in the assigned hospital accounts and to present VITAS services and philosophy to patients and families in a manner that results in the admission of appropriate patients· Meet with patients and families to educate concerning VITAS’ services· Coordinates care plan for complicated clinical cases· Previous oncology experience preferred· Good interpersonal and customer service skills· Knowledge of pain management/palliative care QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in service/sales; proven 1‑3 years experience in health care environment.
