Analyst - Managed Healthcare

We are currently seeking a HealthCare Analyst to perform monthly scheduled report and assist in yearly reconciliation. Responsibilities also include gathering and organizing statistical and financial data and assisting in preparing monthly management reports. In addition, position will also assist in preparing benchmark reports and assist with HEDIS. Provide analytical support to evaluate QLIMG’s overall financial performance. Facilitate the decision support needs of Finance, Medical Management, Senior Management, and other departments 

 

DUTIES AND TASKS:

 

§ Responsible for producing monthly scheduled and ad hoc reports in a timely manner. 

§ Work closely with other departments to provider clinical data.

§ Work to improve data quality.

§ Conducts detailed audits, analyses, prepares reports and makes preliminary recommendations based on findings. 

§ Generate key financial indicator and Health Care indicator to assess performance against peer-to-peer and industry benchmarks

§ Work closely with Medical Affairs to improve financial performance and clinical outcomes through the identification of high risk/cost patterns of treatment

§ Provide ongoing user education and management consulting with technical and non-technical staff on the use and interpretation of analyses, reports, methodologies, and source data

§ Work independently and in conjunction with cross-functional teams and external parties to identify and quantify third party payer underpayments and reconciliations

 

 

  SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

§ Healthcare experience is highly preferred

§ Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of Access

§ Knowledge of Claims is preferred

§ You must have excellent presentation, analytical and problem solving skills.

§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

§ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, Math, Statistics, or a related field or equivalent work experience of 1-3 years required. 

§ Developing team concepts, and facilitating the adoption of new ideas.

§ Demonstrates ability to learn new software’s.

§ Proficiency in personal computer programs, including MS Excel (including formulas, sorts, filters, pivot tables, IF statements, charts, VLOOKUP, etc.), Access (criteria statements, table links, and database and report creation).

§ Works under general direction.
