Angiography Technologist

UC Davis Health System, Vascular Center Lab, located in Sacramento,  CA is seeking an Angio Tech to perform angiography examinations using the established exam protocols and a variety of specialized radiographic vascular procedures which include the use of specialized equipment, such as high-speed film changer, mobile c-arm, pressure injectors, plane radiography, digital subtraction, C.R.T., as well as specialized accessories, catheters guide wires, and physiologic recorders.

 

Possession of a valid CRT Certification and CA Fluoroscopic permit required. ARRT preferred. Knowledge and ability to operate radiology and auxiliary equipment for assigned modality to provide quality images. Knowledge of processor maintenance and filming techniques.  Able to adapt to new programs and equipment upgrades as the radiological field advances. Knowledge of anatomy, including cross-sectional anatomy and related positioning. Ability to use basic nursing skills and CPR. Ability to react quickly and knowledgeable in emergency situations. Skill to communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, in person and written document. Knowledge and ability to use computer terminal. Ability to input and retrieve data and to observe applicable Radiology Information System (RIS) and Information Services (IS) access codes, security and privacy. Technical skill to properly apply ionizing radiation to achieve radiological diagnosis with minimum acceptable exposures.
