Job Description

The Applications Development Manager will work as a member of the integration team on an enterprise-wide systems implementation effort.  This individual is responsible to plan, coordinate and supervise all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of the Integration information systems and software applications.  The AD Manager is also responsible for maintaining, supporting and upgrading existing systems and applications.  This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide his/her development team on issues related to the design, development and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.

Qualifications

· Minimum 10 years experience in the following areas:

Ø  Management of teams consisting of 15 or more technical developers

Ø  Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions

Ø  Strong technical development and design skills

Ø  Experience managing applications across different IT platforms

Ø  Ability to determine tradeoffs, estimates and overall technical approaches

· Familiarity with the Following:

Ø Relational Databases; SQL, Stored procedures, odbc/jdbc

Ø Java, Perl Scripting, C/C++, Java Swing

Ø Informatica

Ø Healthcare Level 7 standards, EDI X12 or XML

Ø tcp/ip, SNA, FTP, lpd, protocols

Ø Postscript, PCL formats
