CSG, a leading provider of mental health, mental retardation, children’s and eldercare services has an opportunity for an Assistant Program Director in our mental retardation residential program in the Lycoming/Clinton County area.

CSG provides community group homes to individuals with mental retardation/developmental disabilities. In Community Living Arrangements, individuals live together and receive support from trained, experienced and dedicated staff.

The goal of our residential programs is to encourage and assist individuals to achieve their greatest potential of independent living. The number of residents in each home and the level of supervision vary based on the needs of the individuals living there.



 





 

Job Description

 

The Assistant Program Director is the supervisor responsible for the overall administration and management of community residential program for individuals with mental disabilities.

 

Job Duties:

 Ensures effectiveness of programs’ daily operationsAccepts primary responsibility for training and development of clients for development of planned program activities and coordination or development of individual program plans.
Monitors completion of clinical paperwork for accuracy and timelinessReviews financial documentation and performs on-site audits of clients’ funds and petty cash funds.Guarantees that facility is safe, comfortable, and well maintainedAssists in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staffCompletes staffing schedule to ensure adequate staff coverage at facilities.Evaluates assigned staff for probationary and annual reviewsParticipates in other personnel functions as designatedPresents staff trainingParticipates in assigned meetings and committees.Performs on-call dutiesTravel to residential program sites in Lehigh Valley areaPerforms other duties as assigned



 

Job Requirements



 

Master’s Degree with 2 years experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 4 years experience in social work, psychology, or human services field

Or

Equivalent combination of training and experience.
