Assistant Sales and Marketing Director

Job summary:
Assists the Sales/Marketing Director in leasing apartment units. Interacts with all leads and using professional sales techniques, turns leads into residents

·Establishes and maintains a lead list of prospective clients for future contact
·Interacts with prospects and their families
·Assists with marketing events
·Interacts with influencers
Essential duties and functions:
·Approaches all encounters with residents and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
·Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the
proper uniform (if applicable) and name tag when working
·Complies at all times with Kisco standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient
property operations
·Qualifies prospects
·Records information from new client tours
·Keeps in contact with current and prior clients
·Makes appointments to show apartments to clients and their families
·Explains to prospective residents their financial obligations, responsibilities and options.
·Explains to clients all necessary paperwork required
·Writes leases by closing with prospective residents
·Coordinates move-ins with all appropriate departments
·Marginal: tours models daily for cleanliness and maintenance needs, keeps brochures available
at all times
·Performs other duties and tasks as assigned or required
Experience/Training/Education:
High school graduate with 2 years of college preferred. Three years’ sales experience with closing abilities. Retirement community leasing/rental experience preferred. Above average social skills.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computers including Word, Excel, Kisco databases. Knowledge of general office equipment. Excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent telephone skills. Outgoing, friendly personality. Ability to deal effectively and calmly with difficult people. Punctuality and dependability .Must be considerate in working with seniors and their families in stressful situations during a time of transition. Above average mathematical skills. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and with multiple priorities.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to work long hours as necessary. Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time while conducting tours. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, push pull or otherwise move objects. Must have full range of motion. Audio and visual acuity essential when interacting with clients. Must be able to drive extensively within the local community.
