Kaiser Permanente is proud to be an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer. DEPARTMENT: Patient Care Services -Maternal Child SCHEDULE: Part-Time regular; 32 hrs/wk; Night shift; scheduled days and hours to be determined EDUCATION / LICENSE / CERTIFICATION: GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF NURSING; BS REQUIRED; CURRENT CALIFORNIA REGISTERED NURSE LICESNSE; CURRENT BLS; PALS & ACLS CERTIFICATION PREFFERED. QUALIFICATIONS:  1. Minimum 3-5 years' acute care experience.2. Minimum one year's experience as team leader/charge nurse.3. Excellent written and oral communication skills with staff, patients, and co-workers.4. Clinical Educator experience, including teaching, planning education programs.  Formal Classroom Presentation experience preferred.5. Experience leading teams to implement unit projects. SKILLS TESTING: N/A DUTIES:1. Assists the nurse manager in planning and coordinating the provision of nursing care on assigned unit.2. Provides leadership in absence of the manager.3. Develop and implements Clinical Education Program (including, but not limited to Annual Competency assessment Program; New Grad training program, new Employee Unit Orientation; New Equipment Training.4. Case Managers groups of complex patients.5. Leads unit based teams.6. Demonstrate service oriented behaviors and openness to creative and innovative approaches to providing service to staff and patients.7. Demonstrates culturally sensitive good manners, respect and police communications with patients, staff members and visitors. Additional Information Position Type: Part Time, Employee
