BEHAVIOR SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Liberty Healthcare Corporation has been awarded a new contract with the State of New Jersey to help staff the Behavior Support Specialist needs for The New Lisbon Developmental Center located in Southern New Jersey. Qualified candidates must have a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling or School Psychology or other Behavioral or applied field of Psychology. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral analysis and possess appropriate treatment strategy skills for the DD/MR population.  The candidate must have a minimum of 12 months experience working with dual diagnosis (MR/MR) developmental disabilities and/or autism.

Residents live in cottages that maintain a home environment that reflects the interests and preferences of the individuals who live there. Treatment involves medications but there is a heavy emphasis on behavior modification.  Sheltered work activities with equitable wages and diversified work sites provide a sense of accomplishment for our residents and are a vital part of the interdisciplinary team approach to treatment.
