BH - RN Core Emergency Department

Job Summary: The RN in the Emergency Department provides professional nursing care within ENA recommended standards. Coordinates care and planning with other disciplines. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with Emergency Department physicians regarding changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Regulatory Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current state Registered Nurse Licensure, within State of Maine. Current BCLS certification. ACLS competency/certification recommended. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Skills: Basic computer knowledge. Excellent customer skills. Minimum 2 years Emergency Department/Critical Care experience required.
