Key Responsibilities
Reviews ICD-9-CM diagnoses/procedures and CPT codes within 24 hours of visit.Charge for services within 48 hours of receipt of appropriate documentation. Verify missing fee tickets. Investigates billing concerns and, if indicated, issues the appropriate credit(s) and or updates the coding information and rebills the acct. Reconcile charges entered to charges posted. Verify coding revenue. Provides vacation coverage for other coder/billers. Verify billing edits. Assist in improving office work flow to ensure complete/timely/accurate coding & billing. Verify receipt of ABN's for all Medicare patients presenting for services that are non-covered by Medicare; routing ABN to Patient Accounts. Able to support Medical Secretary position as needed.

Job Requirements
Associate Degree and/or CPC, CPC-H, CCS, or CCS-P required. Evaluation & Management experience required. 1-2 years of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding experience in physician office preferred. Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment. Must be familiar with PC's and able to work with multiple technical systems simultaneously. Must be detail oriented. Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, team environment and to manage time effectively. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Able to support Medical Secretary position as needed.
