Branch Manager RN Hospice

Oversees hospice department including service delivery, productivity, staffing, and regulatory compliance’s.1. Knowledgeable in those resources necessary to meet comprehensive care delivery service.2. Establishes time guidelines for tasks in home or office settings to maintain productivity of the department.3. Adjusts staffing based on departmental demands/needs.4. Knowledgeable in current regulatory guidelines/compliance’s that relate to the department.5. Assists RN supervisors with methods to enforce and monitor controls to assure compliance is achieved.6. Possesses working knowledge of Medicare conditions of participation.Works closely with Human Resources department to assure compliance with department policy and procedure.1. Participates in the hiring process using guidelines set by Human Resources.2. Conducts counseling of employees with input from Human Resources as needed.3. Supervises and evaluates all staff under his/her supervision in accordance with state and federal requirements.4. Completes all Human resources paperwork in a timely fashion as outlines in policies and procedures.Develops appropriate control and accountability guidelines related to productivity, clinical services and budget.1. Ongoing evaluation and implementation of department budget.2. Sets clear goals for employees in the department.3. Identifies areas for improvement in processes and recommends appropriate fixes.Develops and enforces clinical practice guidelines and maintains policies and procedures for Hospice services. Establish department policy/procedures to meet scope of service in the Hospice setting.Assesses patient satisfaction and resolves patient complaints and incidents.1. Conducts follow up on concerns in a thorough and objective manner.2. Develops an action plan based on patient satisfaction data.Participates in meetings, conferences and seminars on topics relevant to job responsibilities.1. Participates in QA activities.2. Attends workshops and inservices to maintain professional competency.3. Maintains certification in adult and pediatric CPR.Assists other team members with job related duties.1. Prioritizes workload of staff as needed.2. Assists with the continuity of care through harmonious working relationships with other team members, and through appropriate interaction with patients/caregivers.Acts as role model.1. Maintains professional demeanor during interactions with department staff.2. Completes tasks within appropriate time frame.3. Attendance is within the guidelines of VNA-TIP HomeCare policy.Remains knowledgeable and compliant with policy and procedure including infection control and safety. 1. Coordinates with the Education staff regarding updates and related policies and procedures.2.
