BUSINESS ANALYST III – PURCHASED SVCS

 

Location:  VHA, Corporate Headquarters - Irving, TX
Purchased Services Analyst

 

Responsible for providing analytical services for the purchased services team, with emphasis on the purchased services assessment.  This role includes applying analytical practices and process directly related to the collection, entering, tracking, interpreting and reporting of data from VHA members and suppliers in support of the purchased services assessment process. 

 

Responsibilities:

Gather, prepare and analyze A/P and G/L data from healthcare organizations to highlight potential savings opportunities.

Develop and present project status updates to leadership, including weekly status reports.

Interface with management, operations, sales, suppliers and healthcare organizations. Assist with developing and maintaining best-practices and benchmarking database. Participate in the development of business requirements, process documents, training materials and processes to monitor the effectiveness of the assessment.

Interpret data and translate into recommendations that provide directional guidance to healthcare organizations related to services spend.

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business systems, finance, accounting or computer science.

 

Two to five years experience working on business analysis projects.

 

Strong analytical skills.

 

Strong communication skills (oral and written).

 

Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment.

 

Ability to effectively prioritize workload and projects in a deadline driven environment.

 

Ability to work with all levels of an organization.

 

Resourceful, innovative and collaborative.

 

Highly detail-oriented with strong presentation skills.

 

Demonstrated flexibility and success working in a matrix environment.

 

 

Technical Experience:

Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office product suite, including Access Databases, Microsoft Project, Excel and Power Point.  SQL query writing experience a plus.
