The Consultant participates in multiple, cross-functional projects designed to improve operational effectiveness through process analysis, workflow redesign, and/or organizational assessments. As a junior member of BCG, the Consultant is expected to assume a lead role in smaller, less complex projects by providing a wide range of general consulting services. The scope of responsibilities would include project scope and plan development, interviewing, small workgroup facilitation, status reporting, issue resolution, risk assessment/mitigation, deliverable creation, and general project administration.Key Responsibilities Collaborating with a BCG Project Lead to assist with the scoping, planning, and execution of assigned consulting engagements Completing assigned project activities with minimal supervision Facilitating meetings and small workgroups within a consulting engagement Completing quantitative and qualitative analyses to support the objectives of assigned projects Developing project related deliverables with minimal supervision, including process workflow diagrams, PowerPoint presentations, organization charts, status reports, meeting minutes, issue/risk logs, interview guides, meeting facilitation plans, project plans, and timelines Presenting updates and recommendations to internal clients, sponsors, and other leaders and associates as needed for assigned projects Conducting and summarizing interviews and engaging in other research methods to gather information relevant to assigned projects Key Requirements Strong understanding of business process improvement, project management, and change management approaches and principles Demonstrated project management experience Strong written and oral communication skills and presentation delivery skills to a wide variety of audiences Ability to effectively plan and facilitate meetings and workgroups High degree of initiative along with ability to act as a team player Ability to deal effectively with ambiguous situations Results oriented with a willingness to get the job done Strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects and assignments High degree of professionalism and confidence along with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization Strong PC skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) Must have access to reliable personal transportation/ability to travel to and between BCBSMA sites, including local travel to alternate locations external to BCBSMA, as required by project responsibilities BS/BA degree required.
