Business Development Associate (inside sales)

invivodata, inc., a rapidly growing startup co., applies handheld technology & behavioral science to electronic patient diary studies.  Our market-proven solution is offered to pharmaceutical clients from our Pittsburgh, PA based Operations group.  We are currently in search of a Business Development Associate (inside sales person).

 

Responsibilities:

 

-  Increase new business

o Strategize with U.S. sales account teams to identify account-specific business opportunities

o Conduct telephone conversations with account contacts to pre-qualify all identified opportunities

o Qualify new sales opportunities

o Maintain appropriate follow up with contacts (emails, info packets, repeat phone calls, etc.)

 

-  Maintain Customer Relationship Management Database

o Add and update opportunities as they move through the sales cycle

o Add and update account/contact information as necessary

o Document all planned and completed tasks

 

-  Other

o Support sales account teams in business-generating efforts, as needed

o Support marketing efforts, including driving attendance to company-sponsored events

o Possibility to represent invivodata at national trade shows

o Perform other duties as assigned by management

 

Qualifications:

-  Trained in all aspects of the sales process

-  Experience in/knowledge of pharmaceutical industry preferred

-  Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

Educational:

-  B.S. in a scientific or business-related field

 

Experience:

-  3-5 years progressive sales experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical-related industry
