Business Planning Manager
Job Summary:
Responsible for developing, reviewing, and managing plans, systems, and financial reports under the direction of the Senior Director of Business Planning. Conducts a wide variety of analyses of region, division and national performance. Responsible for identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue increases. Lead special studies or analyses for the division or national organization. Must be able to work effectively with all levels of field and headquarters management and staff, on a wide variety of complex projects to increase productivity and performance.
Major Responsibilities:
· Review financial and operational performance, identify trends and causes, and recommend appropriate courses of action.
· Lead the development of computer models and analyses in support of operational reviews and projects.
· Help develop business plans and financial and operational analyses for strategic initiatives such as centralization, standardization, consolidation, and technology, and support division business plan.
· Prepare financial forecasts and support the division S&OP process.
· Develop business tools and models for managing the business more effectively, and teach them to region/divisional/national staff.
· Extracts and analyzes information from a variety of sources and databases, such as the Data Warehouse and the Hemasphere system.
· Analyze regional/divisional/national reports to identify business needs and opportunities.
· Prepare written and verbal reports to management on the results of analyses and reviews.
Scope:
Has frequent interaction with all levels of senior managers, directors and staff including Division Vice President and Region CEOs to understand business performance issues and participate in projects. Works closely with Finance staff at Biomedical Headquarters and in other divisions and other Biomedical Headquarters staff on a wide variety of projects.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or the equivalent experience is required. MBA or Master's degree is preferred. Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in an operations and/or financial analysis environment. Knowledge of analytical techniques and ingenuity in their applications. Knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications. Strong analytical skills and ability to spot issues and identify and implement enhancement opportunities. Experience in systems and productivity improvements, strategy formulation, implementation of plans for capturing Best Practices. Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams. Consulting experience highly desirable.
