Business Services Manager

The Managerr of Business Services (MBS) exercises general supervision over business office operations and staff at ASC’s under the management of AMD. The MBS plans, organizes and directs all aspects of Business Office functions including the administration of all policies on accounting, insurance, internal controls, accounts payable, auditing of patient accounts, scheduling, admissions, medical records, and claims processing. The MBS will also support the VP of AMD and other AMD staff in the development and analysis of many corporate AMD functions related to center operations, reimbursement, budgets and forecasting. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/ or ability required.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. ·  Education:A Bachelor’s degree in business or related business experience  ·  Experience:Three years business management experience in a surgery center settingDeveloping and Interpreting financial and statistical reportsMulti-site responsibilities preferred ·  Knowledge:Thorough understanding of the insurance industry.Knowledge of governmental regulations.Working knowledge of office management procedures and accounting principlesA high degree of confidentiality in maintaining records is required ·  Special Skills/Equipment:Very proficient in computer applications.Skills in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with management, staff, and the general public.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of management regarding fiscal policies.
