Buyer II/Operating Room
Located in Modesto, Memorial Medical Center opened on May 1, 1970. Licensed for 313 acute care beds, the facility is part of Memorial Hospitals Association, a not-for-profit organization that exists to maintain and improve the health status of citizens in greater Stanislaus County. Memorial affiliated with Sutter Health in 1996 and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.Performs purchasing duties relevant to non stock items for the Operating Room inventory. Does follow-up and research on purchases and services for the Operating Rooms. Responsible for updating and editing the Item and Stock Dictionaries in the computer system, specific to Operating Room inventories. Works with Plant Operations and Construction as a liaison for all aspects of Materials Management. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager. Human Resources is located at 1800 Coffee Road, Suite 116 in Modesto, California. Our hours are 7:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Serving the greater Stanislaus County with 423 plus acute care beds, Memorial Medical Center provides a full continuum of care including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, nuclear medicine, dialysis therapy, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, physical therapy, skilled nursing services and home health. Specialized care includes Memorial Regional Cancer Center, Memorial Heart Institute and Medi-Flight of Northern California.High School or equivalent. Minimum two years prior experience purchasing supplies and inventory management. One year computer experience. Type 35wpm (TYPING CERTIFICATE REQUIRED). Ability to manage own timeand schedule own tasks. Must have initiative to work efficiently without constant supervision and direction. Must have the abiltiy to read, write, hear, verbally communicate in English to the degree required by the job. Must demonstrate excellent written/verbal interpersonal communication and problem solving skills. Must be able to travel in and out of Stanislaus County. If MHA and/or own vehicle is used on Association business, must possess valid California Driver's License, and upon request, provide proof of liability insurance. Preferred Qualifications: Prior inventory control experience. Prior experience with inventory control computer system. Knowledge of Windows based PC programs.
