Evening Shift and a Day Evening Shift

 

Our client has requested that we search for two CAT SCAN TECNOLOGISTS. These individuals would be a part of one of the areas premier health care organizations.

This hospital is dedicated to providing superior health care leading to the best possible outcome for every patient every day.

 

This individual will operate the computed tomography (CT) scanner to produce cross-sectional images of patients’ body for diagnostic purposes by performing the following duties: Interviews patient to explain computerized axial tomography and help them get ready for their test. Responsible for ensuring consent form and questionnaire are filled out completely. Positions and immobilizes patient on scanning table using supportive devices to obtain precise patient position and following protocols specified by Radiologist. Administers contrast media orally and/or intravenously. Must be able to start IV using sterile procedure. Observes patients for vital signs during examination. Enters all pertinent technical data into the computer.

 

Requirements:

· Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible.

· Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Health in CT

· Maintains licensure on an annual basis.

· Ability to obtain CT registry within 18 months of employment.

· Two year accredited School of Radiologic Technology

· Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

· Two -Three years minimum in a trauma setting

· Prior experience with RIS/PACS preferred.
