CC CLINICAL TRIALS RESEARCH NURSE

- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - Certification is preferred - CPR Certification - Florida License or Eligibility Required - 3-5 years experience is required GENERAL SUMMARY : Demonstrates commitment to the vision, core purpose/mission and goals of LRMC, modeling the values and culture. Assists in coordination of patient services within the clinical trial program. Facilitates, implements, and manages adult oncology patients entered on industry and federal group clinical trials. Acts as liaison between physicians, study sponsors, pharmacy, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team involved with the care of patients on clinical trials. Adheres to all hospital and cancer center policies, procedures, and standards of care. Observes and adheres to all research compliance requirements and communicates issues as they arise to the appropriate parties as identified in the Corporate Compliance Plan. Accepts responsibility for knowledge of laws that apply to clinical research. Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS : Preferred: High level of analytical and computer skills. Knowledge of Oncology. Required: Able to work independently. Self-motivated. Demonstration of effective problem solving, decision making, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Demonstration of effective verbal and written communication. EDUCATION : Preferred: BSN Required: Graduation from approved school of nursing (AD, diploma) EXPERIENCE: Preferred: Two years experience in Oncology; one year research experience in clinical trials. Required: Minimum of three years experience as clinical nurse. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/ OTHER: Preferred: Oncology Certification (OCN) and/or certification in research (CCRC, CCRP) Required: Current license to practice nursing in State of Florida.
