- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - CPR Certification - Florida License or Eligibility Required - 3-5 years experience is required - Experience is required - Supervisory experience is preferred GENERAL SUMMARY: Demonstrates commitment to the vision, core purpose/mission and goals of LRMC, modeling the values and culture. Conducts performance reviews, assigns employees work, schedules time off, determines priority of work to be done. Oversees day-to-day operations for area of responsibility. Coaches and counsels employees toward performance improvement; disciplines when necessary. Has strong recommendation authority re: hires and terminations. May assist with budgeting. Uses discretionary judgment in the management of staff, customers and visitors. May provide staff education and training. Serves as key resource for staff in their day-to-day job duties. Identifies and facilitates opportunities for improvement in the areas of quality care and services, stewardship, employee satisfaction, communication, accountability and customer satisfaction. Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Preferred: Required: Excellent skills in communication and conflict resolution. Demonstrates tact, timeliness, coaching, accountability, commitment, leadership to achieve goals, ability to influence others and resource management. PICU competency maintained. PALS Currrent. Pediatric Psyco-Social Competency maintained.EDUCATION: Preferred: Required: Must complete the LRMC's Supervisors' Training (e.g. Supervisor Orientation) within the first six months in role. EXPERIENCE: Preferred: Previous supervisory experience. PICU Competency with at least one year experience in the PICU. Required: 3-5 years experience in professional/technical role requiring progressive increase in responsibility.
