CLAIMS ANALYST

Description:This position will work directly with health insurance claims and provider contracts; research how claims are administered and/or contractual elements that help define areas that require focused analytical testing to identify incorrectly paid claims. Our Insurance Services Division then is able recover the funds identified by such research and testing.Basic Function:Responsible for analyzing, testing and implementing overpayment identification edit concepts in adherence with corporate and departmental policies and procedures; assist in constructing and maintaining edit logic and refining query logic to produce quality output and increase revenue.Qualifications:oAssociates degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements oMinimum two years experience in contract or network management (e.g., rate negotiations, contract implementation, etc.) in a healthcare or insurance industry required. oIntermediate knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required oKnowledge of SQL preferred West offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
