Job Details: JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is an advanced practice nurse who, through study and supervised practice in nursing at the master's or doctoral level, has become an expert in an area of nursing. The Clinical Nurse Specialist functions autotonomously and in collaboration with other health care providers as a practitioner, educator, consultant, clinical leader, and researcher. In the state of California, a Clinical Nurse Specialist must be certified by the State Board of Nursing in order to use the title "CNS". MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master of Science in Nursing degree Two years clinical nursing experience Current CPR certification (Issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross provider) Registered Nurse, State of California Certification: Clinical Nurse Specialist, State of California EOE/M/F/D/V
