CODING MANAGER

Dynamic individual wanted to manage the coding division of the health information management department. The successful candidate must adhere to the department’s mission of quality, accuracy, and timely coding of inpatient ambulatory surgery and emergency room records. Must be AHIMA certified RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS and have at least two (2) years in a coding supervisory position. Bachelor's degree pref’d. Associate's degree req’d.

 

CODER

Hands-on person needed to be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of coding inpatient, ambulatory surgery and emergency medical records as it affects reimbursement and statistical reporting systems.  Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) through AHIMA required. RHIA or RHIT through AHIMA pref’d. Two to three (2-3) yrs of ICD-9-CM and CPT coding experience in an acute care setting and knowledge of Diagnostic Related Group (DRG), Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC), Prospective Payment Systems and 3M Encoder Systems nec’y. Familiarity with coding application software pref’d. High School diploma req’d. Bachelor’s degree pref’d.
