The Target Community and Educational Services, Inc. and McDaniel College Masters Program in a two year, LIVE-IN program where you work for Target managing one of our Alternative Living Units (ALUs) while attending McDaniel College two evenings a week to earn your master of science degree in HUMAN SERVICE MANAGEMENT/SPECIAL EDUCATION, teaching, or management track. Target and McDaniel are located in Westminster, Maryland, which is approximately 30 miles north of Baltimore.



Target is a non-profit agency provideing residential, vocational, and recreational services to adults with developmental disabilities. We have nine ALUs and an Apartment program where each home is managed by two live-in community living mangersfor the two years they are working towards their degree. Each ALU has three clients (with varying disabilities)who live in the main part of the house and a two bedroom apartment in the downstairs of each home for the managers. In the apartment program, the managers living in a seperate apartment in the same complex.



Each manager works 40 hours per week in the home and have community living assistants who assist them. All of our clients have day programs that they attend on weekdays. Managers are responible for transporting clients, providing direct care with everyday needs, and managing all aspects of the alternative living unit.



Target pays 75% tuition to McDaniel College, and all managers receive the apartment to live in (including utilities). There is a salary of $16,500, along with full health, dental, and life insurance benefits.



REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution, Undergraduate GPA above 2.7, VALID DRIVERS LICENSE WITH A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD, ALL APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK. APARTMENTS ARE EQUIPPED FOR A MANAGER AND A CO-MANAGER. NO PETS, SIGNIFICANT OTHERS, OR CHILDREN MAY LIVE IN THE APARTMENT.
