COORDINATOR OF MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES

Requirements: *Min 3 years acute care medical transcription experience. *In-depth knowledge of medical transcription procedures and staff performance evaluation techniques.*Good project management skills.*Min 2 years successful experience in a lead/supervisory role.*Interpersonal skills sufficient to present educational programs, encourage educational development, and evaluate utilization of appropriate techniques and procedures by others*Ability to interact effectively with physicians and hospital staff.*Knowledge of dictation and transcription systems.*Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.*Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills.*Ability to multi-task effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.CMT preferred.* Ability to adjust work schedule and shifts to meet individual associate training needs.* Ability to work at Racine site as needed.Description: Supervises daily department activities and all assigned staff to ensure the department is able to meet its goals, including performing department activities within budgeted staff levels and expenses, meeting department productivity levels, organizing and streamlining job functions to meet JCAHO, hospital, and corporate goals and standards. Ensures production of accurate medical reports for quality patient care, meeting medical staff requirements for report turnaround time, while providing a supportive, caring environment for employees. Manages Regional Quality Assurance Program and Orientation and Training Programs. Provides work direction to department associates.
