CST/Scope Tech - Endoscopy

Job Summary: The Certified Surgical Technician/Scope Technician assists physician during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating/endoscopy rooms are adequately prepared for procedure. Monitor PAR level of all surgical and endoscopy instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments, and cleans and maintains all endoscopy equipment. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.

Requirements: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Maine State Surgical Technologist Certification, and or Current Maine State Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure, and or Certified Nursing Assistant with completion of 1 year Endoscopy Technology training. Current BCLS Certification. Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the Operating Room. Previous experience in endoscopy preferred. Ability to work in a very fast paced environment. Good team player. Willingness to adjust schedule to meet the needs of the department and volume.

Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
