CT Tech

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:  Responsible for performing urologic CT studies and plain film studies as ordered by physicians, and related duties.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Takes CT and x-rays following established protocol and procedures for patient care and safety.

 

Administers contrast media.

 

Ensures equipment is in working order.Logs radiologic procedures completed, processes related paperwork and records exam in PenChart.Maintains examination rooms.Develops and processes radiologic film.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:  Knowledge of CT and x-ray procedures and protocols; anatomy and physiology necessary to perform CT and x-ray procedures; body mechanic and patient movement; positioning patients properlyREQUIREMENTS:  Graduate of accredited x-ray technician program. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist RegistrationMinimum of 1 year radiology experience plus minimum of 1 year in CT
